Steve Brazer is from a small town
south of Boston called Whitman, Massachusetts. He went to high school at
Whitman-Hanson Regional High where he played on the golf team for four years. After
high school, he attended Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, New
Hampshire for one year studying Criminal Justice. After realizing that it was
not the right path for him, he moved back home and attended a community
college. While home, he found a job at a local 18-hole golf course, River Bend
Country Club, in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Being 19 years old at the
time, he started at the bottom just like anyone else, filling divots and raking
bunkers. Before he knew it, they had him mowing rough, fairways, tees, greens
and collars. He realized that he had finally found something that he enjoyed and decided he was going to pursue a
career in the turf industry. Steve attends the Professional Golf Turf Management
Program at Rutgers University. He is scheduled to complete his education in December 2015.
Levi Singleton, originally from Battletown, KY is enrolled in Rutgers Professional Golf Turf
Management School where he will complete the certificate program in
December 2015. Levi is also a graduate of the
University of Louisville where he has a bachelor’s degree in Sport
Administration. Although Levi’s time in
the turfgrass industry has been less than a year, he is eager to learn and
looking forward to the road ahead. Even
though his time in the industry has been minimal Levi has a very extensive
farming background coming from his families two farms back in Kentucky.
