Winter Weather Preparations

With temperatures forecast to reach into the mid-20's overnight, Dye's Valley golf course has taken preventative measures to protect our irrigation system and the surrounding landscape.  Due to the high probability of the hydraulic lines in our irrigation system freezing, we wrapped trash bags around each box as a form of insulation.

The landscape at TPC Sawgrass is full of tropical plant species, including Hawaiian Ti, Gardenia, Ginger, Thryallis, Philodendron and numerous others.  In an effort to protect these plants, specially designed frost blankets are used to trap in heat and minimize wind damage.
