Irrigation Pump Diagnostics

Behind the scenes of every golf course operation is different, but one of the most important aspects is the pump station and the irrigation water. Having an unknown issue with the pumps can stir quite the concern for members of any staff. After an immediate reaction to the aquifer pump not working, the members of Partridge Well Co. came to the rescue and diagnosed the problem. Our aquifer pump provides extra water to our irrigation pond. They removed the 65 feet of pipe that connects to the aquifer pump which hangs freely within the aquifer. We track aquifer water use within St. Johns Water Management District guidelines. After removing the pipe by sections, the wire which powers the pump was inspected and immediately showed a slight wear in the casing which was causing our issue. The wiring was replaced and lowered back into the well inside conduit.
