Landscape Operations Winter Flower Changeout

The Landscape Operations Team has been diligently working around property to enhance all of our focal beds with color for the holiday season.  North Florida has reached a point in the season that the cold weather is becoming a factor on what plants will be most successful for the following  (90) days.  Our previous beds consisted of Angelonia, which is more successful in warmer temperatures. We have an expanded variety with our (9) major beds around our resort areas with (5) different flower types. The front of the Clubhouse utilized a combination of purple Alyssum (Alyssum alyssoides) and a mix of Snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus). The back of the Clubhouse also consists of the Alyssum, Snapdragon mix as well as a beautiful holiday mix of red and white Plox (Phlox paniculata) closer to the outdoor terrace where guests typically dine during pleasant weather. Our Team continued the red and white color combination by carrying it over to the entire entrance way on PGA Tour Boulevard. These two beds consist of large, winding masses of the Delta Series White Pansy with accents of small Poinsettias. Once the Poinsettias decline in mid-January, we will replace them with a mix of pastel Snapdragons.  As you arrive at the front of the resort, these beds instantly give you a feeling of the holidays and time to share with your family.
