Cool-season Striping On The Stadium

Every fall the par 3 tees on THE PLAYERS Stadium Course are overseeded with perennial ryegrass due to the beating these tees take from golfers hitting divots. Since ryegrass is a cool-season grass that thrives in our fall, winter, and spring temperatures, it's easy to throw more seed on top of the divots to have full turf coverage. The underlying Celebration bermudagrass cannot recover from all the divots with the cooler temperatures ahead since it is a warm-season grass. The lower tier of the driving range is also overseeded to accommodate all the golfers to have total coverage.
