Stadium Course Renovation Update

Its been just over 2 weeks since The Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass broke ground on what may have seemed like an extreme goal in such a short period of time. The removal of the existing Tifway 419 Bermudagrass from the fairways, approaches and tees in exchange for Celebration Bermudagrass is well underway and right on schedule. The completion of the few remaining holes for this unbelievable project will come to a conclusion as planned. Below is a look at the entire process as it unfolded on hole #18.
18 collar/approach is removed and backfilled with sand: 6-25-13
18 approach is packed down and graded for sod to be laid: 6-29-13
Fairways were sprayed with herbicides before sod was stripped on 18: 6-26-13
Tee boxes were sprayed with a non-selective herbiced before being stripped: 6-27-13
 18 fairway was sprayed again with herbicides before sand was added: 6-27-13
18 fairway is loaded up with sand: 6-28-13
The sand piles are graded out before sod is laid: 6-29-13
Sod is laid out and immediately watered: 7-1-13
The finished product: 7-2-13
