When the Stadium Golf Course was renovated in 2006, all of the practice greens were renovated as well. During this renovation, a hydronic heating system was installed in the Professional Chipping Green to see how it would help the green during cold weather in comparison to the other greens. The heating system consists of a boiler and coils that run throughout the green. The boiler system uses conduction to heat the water, which is then pumped throughout the coils, radiating heat into the soil and turf canopy.
