For the convenience and comfort of
the professional golfers who practice their golf game at TPC Sawgrass, a mobile
rain/shade canopy is provided on the professional driving range tee. This canopy provides shade for golfers to hit
under during the hot summer days, as well as a dry environment during rainy
days. Providing this convenience for our
professional golfers requires constant management from our agronomy staff. Continual movement of the canopy is necessary
to prevent weakened turf due to excessive shade and too many divots localized
to one area.
