Stadium Greens Dry-jecting
The PLAYERS Stadium greens are being 'dry-jected' today, a process that uses pressurized water to inject dried sand into the profile. The video above is of 1 green this morning with crew members adding the bagged sand periodically to assist in the procedure. The Stadium greens were aerified yesterday with core removal followed by topdressing and dragging of the sand into the open holes. With the addition of the dryject, cultural practices done this week will aide in providing firm, consistent tournament conditioned greens. To the left is a look into the greens profile after the dryject, having approximately 3 1/2 - 4 inch impact with each sand channel created. 800 pounds of sand per each 1000 square feet of area treated will have the stadium staff assisting in putting nearly 70 tons of sand into the greens today.
