Equipment Manager Mark Sanford and his staff have been working over time this summer trying to keep up with the aerating and top dressing schedules of both The Players Stadium and Dye's Valley. We are also in the middle of switching out our John Deere lease package. The staff goes through all the old equipment and prepares it to go back to our John Deere Supplier in perfect working order. The mechanics go through every piece of new equipment to make sure all fluid levels are correct, check that all hydraulic fittings are tight, and set the height of cut. Each piece of equipment is checked into our maintenance computer to track service schedules to make sure we keep every piece of John Deere Equipment in top working condition.
Here is a sample of the over 100 pieces of new John Deere equipment in the maintenance shop. Left side of the photo is a row of triplex mowers, middle and right is the 8800 rough mowing units used on both golf courses.
Brad Aldridge (green shirt, right center of photo), Product Manager with John Deere, gives members of the staff a training session on the new spray rig that was checked in this week. Notable upgrades include increased capacity from 200 to 300 gallon capacity, and the ability to mix chemicals more completely during load prep.
