Alligator relocation on THE PLAYERS Stadium

With the help of Florida Wildlife Commission, the Stadium staff successfully removed a 9 foot alligator today from #9 lake bank.  Gators of this size pose a threat to the staff and the golfing public.  The alligator was initially pulled in by the use of a treble hook on a fishing rod and reel.  Once on shore, the FWC team secured the gator with rope and loaded it into a utility vehicle.  This gator will be relocated to an area with less human activity.  Below is a video of the capture.  THE PLAYERS Stadium Assistant Superintendent Jack Creveling describes the process:
