Beginning the week of January 23, 2012 the Stadium Course began sending out a separate mower to mow the clean-up lap on all of the greens. The "ring mower" is set at the same height of cut as the rest of the mowers but allows some of our more skilled greens mower operators to concentrate more on mowing precise clean-up laps. This keeps the shape of our greens more consistent and prevents our regular greens mowers from scalping by mowing into the rings.
New greens edges have also been established so that the ring mower can define the desired shapes of our greens for THE PLAYERS.
The white dot depicts the new edge of the green that our ring mower will continue to use as a guideline for the mowing perimeter.
